Nice beach reserve we found on a tiki tour. There is a DOC camping ground next bay south on Atkins rd and a beach the surfers love
Bring the kids and a picnic lunch, dont forget your togs, this place has it all, the beach, history and very nice walks. At the cache site is a great view up the harbour towards Mangawhai heads. Cache is about 10 minutes walk from beach on easy track. PS: It's not near the cutty grass (dont go there) and dont take shortcuts up the hill the cutty grass and gorse will take down even the bravest of man.
