Wijziging bij WP 4 op 31 december 2007!
Deze cache is uitgezet in een bos- en heidegebied aan de voet van
de TV-toren, tussen de kernen Mierlo en Geldrop.
Vroeger was dit een heidegebied, maar is begin
20ste eeuw bebost. Momenteel wil men verdroging (door de bebossing)
van het gebied tegengaan en de vennen en heide herstellen. Twee
vennen liggen in dit gebied, het Lisven, hierin staat permanent
water, en het Molenven, welke in de zomer droog staat.
Verschillende flora en fauna komen hier voor. Deze delen zijn
afgezet (men kan er wel doorheen) en worden begraasd door
schapen.
De tocht is circa 6,5 km lang.
De cache is een ronde plastic emmer van ongeveer 25 cm doorsnede.
Verstop hem weer goed als je hem gevonden en gelogd hebt. De
cache-inhoud bij het uitzetten was:
· Kerststickertjes
· Stempelset
· Knooptouwtjes
· Mok
· Stuiterbal
· Ventilatortje
· Badeendje
· Gelpen zilver
· Golfballetje
en
· Logboek met pen (moeten erin blijven zitten!)
Nog een aantal aandachtspunten:
· Honden mogen loslopen, behalve in het begrazingsgebied;
· Naast honden en hun baasjes wordt dit gebied ook gebruikt door
mountainbikers, fietsers en ruiters, twee korte stukjes gaan over
ruiterpaden;
· Je hoeft de paden niet te verlaten, alleen voor de uiteindelijke
cache;
· Voor de cache is graven niet nodig;
· Houd je aan de regels van de opengestelde bos (zie foto);
· In regenachtige perioden zijn sommige plekken erg drassig;
· Als je goed oplet zie je misschien een aantal reeën.
Dit onze eerste uitgezette en verstopte cache. Suggesties, op- en

This cache has been set up in a forest- and heath area near a
televisiontower, between the villages of Mierlo and Geldrop.
This used to be an area with heath, but at the start of the 20th
century trees were planted. Now the dryness (as a result of the
trees) has to be stopped and the fens and the heath are to be
restored. You can find two fens in this area, the Lisven, which has
permanent water in it, and the Molenven, which falls dry in the
summer. The flora and fauna is very divers. Some parts are railed
off (but you can get through it). These parts are (sometimes)
grazed by sheeps.
The length of the route is about 6,5 kilometres.
The cache is a round plastic bucket with a 25 centimetre diameter.
Please hide it well when you have found and logged it. The caches
content at the beginning was:

Some notes:
· Dogs are allowed, except in the area where sheep can graze;
· Also mountainbikers, cyclists and horseriders use this area, two
short parts of the route run via bridles;
· You don’t have to leave the paths, only for the finally
cache;
· To find the cache no digging is necessary;
· Keep to the rules of this forest;
· Some places are very wet in rainy periods;
· If you pay attention, you might see some deers/roes.
