Welcome to the newest park in North Tonawanda, New York!
A unique style of urban parks, meant to take you through a historical part of town. A great concept don't you agree? Of course what I'm going to do is take you from one part of the park to the other on this 2 stage multi cache. The listed coords are stage one. The actual cache is located at stage two and is an Army decon kit container. Please visit "The Gallery" for Urkel's photo of a Decon container if you are unfamiliar with them. The one placed here is green.
Along the way I hope you can take time to enjoy the second most famous thing about North Tonawanda...The Allen Herschell Co. Manufacturer in the 1800's of Carrousels.
This is now a museum with a completely restored carrousel inside waiting for you to take a ride.
The City Market is not far from here and runs year round on Saturday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday in better weather.
City Hall is also nearby, as well as the Police Station and Post Office.
Enjoy this little adventure in North Tonawanda!
UPDATE: 8/8/05....By the way. The lady of the house at the first part has been informed of Geocaching and thinks it's pretty cool. She is NO longer suspicious of an infestation at part one!!!
