Geocache Description:

Not busy on February 12th??? Come join us for Breakfast! We are returning to Lake Towsen Park in beautiful Hernando County. You will remember this as the site of the wildly successful Nature Coast GeoEvent last summer.

The meet and greet will run from 9:00 to Noon. Isonzo Karst will have their world famous Withlacoochee State Forest cache maps on display. Not to mention the Power of Yo!

We will supply some bagels, fruit, coffee, and juice. Please bring your favorite breakfast fare. Remember, SUGAR is one of the Basic Food Groups for Geocachers. We are also providing the pavilion, ice filled barrels (bring your own beverages), paper plates and plastic utensils.

When you post your note, please let us know if you will be bringing some goodies.

This event is TB friendly, although there are plenty of Bug-sized caches in the area to place them in.

Coordinates are for the turn off CR 476, there's a new, small, brown sign indicating the park entry 500 feet. Park does have a nice playground, volleyball court, restrooms, hiking trails into the woods and to the lake and is adjacent to the paved Withlacoochee State Trail. Good road and off road biking with caches available. No dogs, no alcohol allowed in Hernando County parks.

Please keep in mind December 6 thru March 13 is small game season (bobcat, fox, raccoon) in the Croom section of the forest. Although most hunters are out (w/leashed dogs) at dawn or dusk, it is still a good idea to wear bright clothing.
