llatnek: When I first placed this cache nine years ago, I honestly doubted it would last more than a month or two. It's been a great run!
Yep-the sign is gone. I checked all the other signs in the rest area, and could not find one configured in such a way as to recreate the original hide technique.
Time to retire this one; Thanks to all who sought it!

Geocache Description:

While making several trips recently to and from Tennessee, I noticed that this set of rest areas has no caches. Therefore, I placed one here on the Eastbound side at mile marker 63.

NO SPECIAL TOOLS NEEDED TO RETRIEVE THE "REAL" CONTAINER! NO DIS-ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.

The coordinates get you in the general area of this mini, which is a 34 mm film container. It's not really in the parking lot (think like a geocacher). There is a log, but no room for trade items. You will have to bring your own scribing implement. Please make sure that you close the container in a secure manner. The cache is hidden in a typical fashion. However due to its placement, you must be very, very discrete to keep it from being muggled. It would probably be best to walk by and snatch it, then take it someplace nearby to sign the log, before returning it. Remember you only have TWO HOUR PARKING. Also remember that it is a freeway rest area, so keep your eyes open. Holding your GPSr like a cellphone always helps.
