Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on a viewing point near by the road.

From this viewing point you can "see" Bjørnsons profile in the montain edge on the other side of the valley. And nearby is the village Kvam. Kringen is north of Kvam where the 300 Scots mercenarys wher stopped by 500 armed Norwegian farmers in 1612, in leadership of Ramsay (they was on there way to Sweden to help them in the war against Norway and Denmark). Officer Georg Sinclar was one of the first who feld. The restaurant Sinclar kro in Kvam is named in memory from this battle.
