The Big Yellow Pill got us close by the wash, and our feets doed the rest!
Past the abandoned dreams of yesterday, thru the mini-canyon or past the Great Wall of Chocolate, we pushed ahead to the glory of The Small Pools. Our tireless magical coyote pack animals had the day off, so we had to do all the work ourselves. Luckily we felt the power of the green rocks drawing us forward, until, at last, we felt compelled to stash the cache and take a quick nap.

A WORD ABOUT MINES: as there are in fact several mines in the area we felt we would be remiss not to mention the following common sense & safety suggestions: STAY OUT OF ABANDONED MINES. There is no way to know the quality of the cave walls or ceilings, and as the rock in this area is mostly sand, cave-ins are always possible, as well as unseen vertical shafts. PLEASE DO NOT VENTURE INTO ANY OF THE NEARBY MINES, FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.
In another departure from our usual vagueness, we highly recommend a 4WD vehicle to get you from the paved road to where you want to start hiking. Typical Nevada rocky road, with plenty or opportunity to obtain more favors from the desert pinstriping committee.
