Parkeer de auto (of de fiets ...) op de parkeerplaats bij N52 11.382 E6 56.578
U bevindt zich hier aan de rand van een natuurgebied dat zich aan beide zijden van de Nederlands-Duitse grens uitstrekt. De Nederlanders noemen het het Aamsveen, de Duitsers het Amtsvenn. Het is een hoogveen dat goeddeels onder water staat. Afgezien van het feit dat toegang is beperkt tot wegen en paden, zou het ook niet verstandig zijn om je buiten deze paden te begeven … Maar ook óp de paden zijn laarzen of hoge waterdichte schoenen aan te raden. En ’s zomers is muggenspray geen overbodige luxe. U bent gewaarschuwd, maar als u dit er voor over heeft wacht u een wandeling van vijf kilometer door een prachtig natuurgebied. De parkeerplaats ligt aan de rand van de Hölteres. Deze es hoorde bij de Hölterhof, een voormalige ronde walburg met gracht, waarvan overblijfselen zijn gevonden bij opgravingen. Bij de ingang van de parkeerplaats staat een informatiebord met daarop een kaart en informatie over wandelroutes. Naast de tekst "Routes vanaf dit startpunt" staan vier routes genoemd, van verschillende lengtes. De rode route is "A,B" km lang. Met behulp van A en B kunt u de coordinaat van het eerste waypoint berekenen:

Op WP1 aangekomen ziet u een paal met een aantal wandelbordjes er op. Hoeveel bordjes hangen er totaal op deze paal? Noem dit cijfer "C". Hoeveel van de bordjes zijn niet oranje? Tel er 1 bij op en noem het cijfer "D".

Neem onderweg naar WP2 even de tijd om het uitzicht in de observatietoren te bewonderen. Als u hierna bij WP2 bent aangekomen vindt u daar een wit bord met een groene rand en met op het witte vlak een woord. Hoeveel letters heeft dit woord? Noem dit getal "F"

Op WP3 vindt u een grenspaal. Tel het tweede en derde cijfer van het nummer van de grenspaal bij elkaar op, en noem dit getal "G". De cache-locatie kunt u nu berekenen.

Retour: vanaf de cache loopt u terug naar WP3 (wandelroute) en dan terug naar het startpunt via N 52°11.415 - E006°57.026.

You are on the border of a nature reserve which extends on both sides of the Dutch-German border. The Dutch call it "het Aamsveen", the Germans "das Amtsvenn". Most of the area is swampy. Access is only allowed on pathways, but it would not be wise anyway to stray from these pathways … But even on the pathways it is advisable to wear boots or water-tight shoes. And during the summer you might find insect repellent useful. If this does not deter you, you will have a 5-km walk through a beautiful reserve.
At the parking place you will find an information table which will tell you this area is the Hölteres. It used to belong to the former fortification called the "Hölterhof". At the entrance of the parking place you will find an information table, with a map and info about indicated walking routes. Next to the words "Routes vanaf dit startpunt" ("Routes from this starting point") four routes are mentioned. The length of the red one is "A,B" km. Using these values of A and B you can calculate the coordinates of the first waypoint.

When you arrive at WP1 you will find a steel post with little metal shields. How many shields are on this post in total? Call this "C". How many non-orange shields are on the post? Add 1 and call this "D"

On the way to WP2, I can recommend taking the time to climb the watchtower you pass. After this, proceed to WP2. At this location you will find a white sign with a green border, and a word in black letters on the white area. Of how many letters is this word made up? Call this number "F",and calculate WP3:

At WP3 you will find a large border marker made of sand stone. The marker has a number; add the second and third digit of this number and call this total "G". Now you can calculate the location of the cache:
