THIS IS A TRAVEL BUG ONLY CACHE - There are no items for trade in
the cache. PLEASE DO NOT PICK UP TRAVEL BUGS IF YOU DO NOT INTEND
TO HELP THEM ON THEIR WAY!
Linate Airport TB Motel is a friendly motel located on one of
the three Milan, Italy airports, to help Travel Bugs migrate around
the world.
There is a log-book in the container. Please log every bug you
place in and every one you take out. It's OK to stop by and pick up
a bug without leaving one, if you can help it on its journey. When
you leave a travel bug, print the bug's page and place it in a
Ziploc bag with the bug, or write its goal in the log book so that
people can decide which bug to take.
Please do not take ALL the travel bugs.
Only travel bugs are allowed in the motel, this cache is for the
sole purpose of getting travel bugs to their destinations, and this
is why it was placed at the airport.
Log your first visit to the motel as a "Found" and any
subsequent visits to the cache to drop off or pick up other travel
bugs as a "Note."
If you happen to be at the airport, without bugs to drop in and
you don’t want to take a bug with you, it’s OK to log your visit as
for a ‘normal’ cache. Just sign the logbook.
The motel is only a few steps from the airport building, very
easily reachable before your departure from Milan or just after
your arrival. Leaving the airport building, reaching the cache,
taking or leaving your TB, and going back to the building should
take no more than 10 minutes.
The Linate Airport TB Motel is on airport ground, in a heavy
traffic area. Watch out for muggles and try to be “stealth” during
your operations.
Remember: It's acceptable to stop by to pick up a bug without
leaving one, if you can help it on its travel. It's permissible to
take more than one if you can genuinely help the hitchhiker on its
journey, however please do not take ALL the travel bugs. Let
everyone have a chance to participate.
Small added note: We have done more than one
survey at the location before placing the cache to check if an
object (a rubbermaid container in this case) placed in that
specific location could trigger some security concerns. The exact
place where the cache was hidden is a public street, cars are
parked there, bus and off-duty taxicab as well. On the outside of
the box there is a very big printed note that says, in italian and
in english, that "this is not a bomb, is something used in a cache
hunt game" with a little explanation of what geocaching is along
with the web address. The container was choosen clear and
transparent to be sure the content could be clearly seen from the
outside. Inside, there is a two pages document explaining in detail
what geocaching is.
