Geocache Description:

Enjoyable hiking trail that that will lead you to, literally and figuratively, a "Curtain of Water". There are at least 18 geocaches within a six mile radius of Colliers so that fact (plus the beautiful scenery) makes it definitely worth a trip out from the city.

There are a number of ways to approach this cache. The most scenic and driest is to drive in Ghaney's Road in Colliers and park by the Recreation Centre. After that follow the hiking trail/boardwalk down by the swimming hole for about .60 of a mile along a beautiful little river.

If you go any other way you are going to get wet crossing the river.

When you get to the general cache location the name will become self-evident. It may amaze some to know that local daredevils used to dive off the surrunding high cliffs when the river was dammed for a swimming spot some 20 years ago. Please don't even think about it now under ANY circumstances though regardless of personal expertise. The water is far, far too shallow and lined with hidden jagged rocks below the surface. Just relax and enjoy the scenery :)

The cache itself is a small white beef bucket. It is hidden in a tree off the trail to make it accessible year round. Please take care in rehiding it carefully as this can be an area that gets a number of spectators at times.

This is the fourth in a series of caches being hidden by Flynnsbeach and Bittensticks. Make note of the codewords in the logbooks as there will be a special prize for those geocachers who find ANY TEN of them :)

Care and caution is (as always) advised as the surrounding rocks can be very slippery when wet or icy. Don't head over the cliffs...regardless of what individual GPS readings may say. The cache is NOT near the edge or in the Falls.

Cache contents at the time of hiding were:

Log Book
Pencils
Sharpener
First Finders Certificate
Tennis Ball
Money in many denominations (Play of course)
Skate Board
Toy Plane
Crayons

Good Luck !!!!

Flynnsbeach and Bittensticks
