How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A short stroll from the car (roughly 500 ft), easy terrain with a little bit of overgrowth at the end.

This cache is placed near a historical marker dedicated to the first oil well in the great East Texas oil rush. The pump is still active. A very interesting spot that shows the history of East Texas.

The cache is in a 50 cal ammo box hidden in a fairly obvious spot. The trees do throw off the GPSr a bit, so you may have to search around for a little while.

We also placed a camera in the cache. Please take a picture of yourself and tell us how many pictures are left in the film, so we can replace it when it becomes time.

Original Contents of the Cache:
Battery operated lantern
Battery Glow Stick
Compass
Camping Silverware
Carabenear
Calender Card
Winged Shoe TB

Happy Hunting!
