The Cache is Back!
Yes, kids, the original For Love Of The Lake was Muggled (Thanks, Padre, for letting us know!).
It
has now been moved and upgraded. It is now in a metal ammo box, a bit
closer to the renewed boathouses. Plus, this cache is
DEDICATED TO KIDS! Yes, that's right
team. Either bring a kid or bring something new and NICE that a kid would
like. Also for the Kid at heart, but mostly for kids under 15 years of age
(6-12 are perfect for this cache!). I DO subscribe to the Trade Even,
Trade Up or DON'T TRADE theory guys and gals. Please don't leave any junk
here. I want it to be a fun cache for kids to find with their
parents or guardians. You're looking for a green ammo canister within the rocks.
The cache will take you close to one of Dallas'
best kept secrets, White Rock Lake. AND, as an added bonus, you'll be within a
stone's throw of the historical Dallas Water Works building, built in 1911. The
point where you will be standing is one of the best views in Dallas. Have fun on
my first cache (well, really it's now my 10th, but it WAS my first before it was
muggled).
My eight year-old daughter (Queen of Lakewood)
and I hid this together, along with a good friend of my daughter (Nickel), so
you'll find goodies that are primarily youth related.
The cache is located on the shoreline.
Hints are enclosed below for those who wish it. Know that this building
still houses some city "folk" and there may be muggles around the entrance to
the cache. One hint is that you should be able to read the maker's door on
the big smokestack to be on the right path. Because it is White Rock Lake,
AND you'll be within 20' of the water, snakes ARE a possibility, so look sharp
before reaching inside anything you can't see.
