Just off the trail as you head to the Alachua Lake Lookout.
This is one of seven caches the Ospreys have placed along the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail to encourage folks to cycle, run, walk or blade the trail. The cache is located shortly after the turn off the mail trail onto the trail to the Alachua Lake Overlook. The nearest parking lot is at least a mile away. The cache is a small plastic container -- bring your own pen. Watch out for cacti as you walk off the trail to the cache. During colder months, the cacti are hard to see as they have flattened into the grass.
