This is an easy two-part cache located at Tolland’s South Cemetery on Cider Mill Road. There is a small parking area in the cemetery. This music cache allows the exchange of CDs. It’s a good way to sample other artists and to stroll through an old cemetery.
I got the idea from seeing older unwanted CDs in various caches. The initial content of this cache contains 10 good CDs from independent/alternative bands that my son and daughter have shared with me. Please take one and critique it in your online log. Feel free to leave one of your CDs for others to enjoy. This is a great way to try out some new sounds. Note: CD burning is legal for non-profit use. If cachers enjoy this, I’ll continue to drop some music into the cache on occasion.
The coordinates above take you to the grave of Revolutionary War Captain Amos Fellows. The coordinates of the final cache is 41 51.xxx and 72 21.yyy, where xxx equals the last three digits of the year of his death minus 560, and yyy equals 14 plus those same last three digits of the year of his death.
Make sure to spend time looking at tombstone artwork/icons, which have special meaning. You can find websites that describe what they symbolize. For example, a skull with wings symbolizes death and the freeing of the soul.
Note: The cache is in it's winter location which is different than the warm weather spot.
