The North Branch of the Milwaukee River has its spring feed headwaters within the Nichols Creek Wildlife Area near this cache.
The cache is a two inch diameter, four inch long plastic container with an inconspicuous paint scheme. Contents include a logbook and pencils. A gravel parking lot is located NW of the cache off County Trunk N. The cache can typically be reached with dry feet wearing normal hiking footwear, especially when using the footbridge located South of the parking area. However there are many areas within the wildlife area requiring taller waterproof footwear. One of the many springs feeding this creek is located at N 43° 41.105 W 088°01.995 This is public hunting land so dress accordingly during those seasons.
07Apr05 - Upgraded cache to a 3.5 inch diameter 6.5 inch long container that will be able to hold a few trade items. The old cache container will continue to hold the log book and is now inside the larger container.
