This multi cache will take you to two historic places in Franklin, Ohio. Enjoy the paintings on your way in.
Franklin's City Council saw the need to invigorate their downtown; therefore, they started several programs to enhance this area . One of their efforts consisted of a "mural program" to help draw interest/tourism into the community. This program will ultimately lead to 10 to 12 murals being painted at strategic locations throughout downtown. The mural at the first coordinates was dedicated on August 27, 2004. The nationally known muralist, Eric Henn (who lives in Franklin)painted this mural. At this location, you will find the coordinates to the final stage.
The cache will be found near a log cabin that was built in 1800 and operated as a general store, post office and residence. When the cache was placed, restoration had just begun on this building, which was moved to this location in 1974. It is scheduled to open as a museum in 2006.
