This is a three-stage shorter multi that will have you
literally walking the plank in an area we drove by many
times “not knowing it was there.” In fact, Yoda wanted to stop many
times and “just see,” but the master thought there could not
possibly be anything to see. As an aside, it appears that
there is also a letterbox up the way from the first stage, since we
ran into a letterboxer on the trail while planting the cache. You
may wish to check that out also.
Walk the plank and don’t fall off, or you may find yourself prey
to what lurks beyond (especially in summer – and you can also
expect bugs then too!). There are areas where you can’t walk the
plank, but please stay on the trail. The intermediate hides may
not be snow/ice-friendly, so go on a nice day. Expect possible
slipperiness and spots of mud on your journey.
The posted coordinates will bring you to an opaque 35mm film
container. Inside this container, you will find the location of an
orange, waterproof match canister, and within that will be the
coordinates to the final cache location.
The final cache is a camouflaged cylindrical container with a
screw top, and it is not located on the plank. There is no need to
get your feet wet, however, as it is close to a well-marked trail.
The cache container is not that big, so please bring small items to
trade.
For the enjoyment of the cachers that follow you, please take
your time replacing all stages EXACTLY as found, especially
stage 1. Good Luck!
(Shameless Plug: You can also enjoy my other cache, Jackpot,
here in the same park.)
