Travel Bug Launch Traditional Cache
HAKenders: This has been the 3rd time the cache has been vandalized and robbed of its contents......luckily there had been no Travel Bugs in it this time. As the saying goes......."Three strikes and your out". By archiving this cache, it may give someone else an oppertunity to place one in the area. Thanks to all who have visited and placed Bugs or other trackables. Ansd Thanks to the City of Pottsville and Mr. Palamar, City Administrator for allowing us to place our geocache in its park.

This Geocache is meant is meant solely for the purpose of “ LAUNCH “ing Travel Bugs onto their next adventure. If you wish to trade travel bugs, by all means this is the place to be. If you wish to just drop one off, please do, but if you don’t have any Travel Bugs to trade or deposit……………consider creating a Geocaching " Where's George Dollar " , that way there will always be a Bug or two for the next Geocacher.
The cache container is a camo-painted ammo can that has been placed in the Terry Reiley Memorial Park, which was dedicated on September 21, 2004 in memory of Pottsville’s former Mayor who passed away several years ago. The Park contains a canoe / kayak ramp, a picinic table and grill, with hopes of expanding it in years to come. The ramp itself was made possible through several small grants and a lot of sweat equity. The City of Pottsville had the cooperation of many different entities for this project including the Pennsylvania DCNR, The Schuylkill Headwaters Association as well as the input of the areas most avid canoe and kayak enthusiets.
The ramp was placed with the hopes of its expanding city as well as regional recreation opportunities and to further encourage use of the West Branch of the Schuylkill River.
This cache has been placed with the approval and blessing of the Administrator for the City of Pottsville. Please enjoy yourself and leave nothing behind but footprints……CITO.
