UPDATE 29 MAR 2005, 12:39PM: Cache has been modified:
- New camouflage. Instead of relying on geocachers to replace
leaves and bark each time, I have applied a layer of Camouflage
Duck™ tape to the outside of the blue cooler. Handle is now
removed, so it looks like a camo-colored tube.
- New location. According to the log, a non-geocacher found the
cache. Nothing was taken and the person put the cache back, but it
stresses to me that it was WAY too visible. Location is about 50
feet away from the old location, closer to the lake.
Original location: N40 48.146, W81 27.034
New location: N81 48.131, W81 27.053
Be sure to bring your boots; a small hike up a hill, then
another short hike through the woods is required to find the cache.
Entrance to Sippo Lake (Marina area / Park Hours are dawn - 11pm)
is at Perry Drive and Tyner. Take Tyner straight to the park's lot.
Park in the left-hand spot closest to the entrance. Walk up the
dirt path to the top of the hill. Cache container is a 15-inch
igloo thermos camouflaged in camo-colored Duck™ tape.
