Thanks to S A M for allowing me to adopt this cache.
Original cache description in 2005:
During the summer thousands of people come to hear the BSO and other musical groups.
This cache is a two part. First you will locate Susan Luery at the above listed coordinates. Then you will shoot an azimuth of 201 degrees for 240 yards. There you will find a 9x5x2 rubbermaid container. It has three Cd's in it to start. I only want to exchange Cd's in this cache, so have fun and make sure to rehide well, there are thousands of people around.
Update in 2022:
The BSO has one concert here this year, on July 3rd. There are other concerts scheduled here, check the park calendar for information.
Susan Luery, the artist who created the "Celebration of Life" statue at stage one, was born in Baltimore and attended the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her artisitc talent for sculpting in bronze was sharpened in Italy. Her early work was soon recognized by private collectors. She created the dramatic “Promethean Radiation,” which was presented to Prince Charles and Princess Diana on the occasion of their wedding in 1981. Today Ms. Luery is best known for works such as “Babe’s Dream”, the 16-foot sculpture honoring George Herman “Babe” Ruth standing heroically in front of Oriole Park at Camden Yards Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland . The “Babe” is considered to be one of the top ten monumental sports sculptures in the United States. She also created a statue of Cal Ripken, Jr., that stands at Ripken Stadium Complex in Aberdeen, MD.
