A small island in the city with a sign that was designed years ago with a "Logo" for the city. Needless to say it's not as famous as the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, but it still gets plenty of people to stop by for pictures. There are three of these signs in the city. One on the north end of town by The Carolina Opry and The Dixie Stampede, another on US HWY 501 coming into town, and this one. This is the one of the three where you can park a take a picture by the sign.
The land is technically part of the state park, but it is outside of the boundries and no entry fee is required.
There is parking close by at an old lot where a water park used to be located. Muggle factor goes up more in the summer. YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO HUNT IN AND AROUND THE SIGN, but feel free to stand in front and take a picture and post it. This will not give away the cache location. Cache is a 35mm film container wrapped in camo tape, somewhere behind the sign...please hide it back exactly as found.
