Geocache Description:


Submitted for your caching pleasure for New Year 2005, a simultaneous launch of 8 caches collectively called “Belvidere Parks”. The Campaign is to have a cache in every Belvidere Park. Come on out and Enjoy.
A few of the parks are quite small and most have little cover so some of the caches are quite cleverly camouflaged and hidden. Beware of nosey geomuggles and PLEASE replace the caches exactly as you found them. If you cannot find one of them, log or note it ASAP and I will check it quickly and replace it as necessary.

Belvidere Park is this town’s answer to what a Kishwaukee riverfront park should be. It is Belvidere’s nicest park by far (personal opinion). Stop and “TAKE IN” the multi sensual water over the dam experience. Wet a worm in the stocked ponds and river area below the dam. Test your metal on the cable suspension foot bridge. Let the yard apes enjoy the monkey bars on the 3+ different play areas. .This park deserves a full sized cache, but cover is SO SPARCE!! I had to really work to find a decent place for it. Good luck.
