The views from this location are good across the "Front Garden" of Swindon and the M4. The cache is situated just off a path converted from an old railway railway line which sees much use from local children and dog walkers.
However, this area has more significance in that there are many clues to Swindon's Jurassic past when it was under a shallow sub-tropical sea. Indicators of this past exist in several places, for example in the nearby Christ Church which was built from local stone which still contains small sea shells.
Further information about the guided walk and Swindon's history can be found at this web site.
This cache is a plastic lock&lock box in a camo bag. When replacing it then please ensure that it is hidden from every direction.
There is a choice of parking. You can park in Swindon Old Town as indicated on the above web link or in the road at N51°32.810', W01°47.391'.
