Geocache Description:

This a drive by cache. The container is an Altoids container with magents on the bottom. You can park very close to the target.

This cache is one in a series that is named after a good author that I have read. Enjoy the hunt, and maybe later a good book?

Ralph Compton was born in Alabama during the Depression in 1934. He stood six-foot-eight without his boots. Compton moved to Nashville in 1978. He worked as a musician, a radio announcer, a songwriter, and a newspaper columnist. His first novel, The Goodnight Trail, was a finalist for the Western Writers of America Medicine Pipe Bearer Award for best debut novel. He was also the author of the Sundown Rider series and the Border Empire series. After Compton's death in 1999, Ralph Cotton and Robert Vaughan were hired to continue writing under the Ralph Compton name
