This is Nuts!! Traditional Cache

"This is nuts!!" cache is located in the Folsom Lake Recreation Area on the north side of Folsom Lake near the Folsom Lake Peninsula Campground. There are a number of caches nearby to make it workwhile for you trip out. The cache was a small 4" diameter by 3" tall Tupperware container but at some point was replaced with a 4" long tube so bring small things to trade.

This is nuts!! You will need to either pay to park in the Recreation Area, bike in along The Salmon Falls Mountain Bike Trail (~18 miles roundtrip) or take a canoe across the lake and hike in. At least the view is great for Folsom lake. This cache is a seedling nutcase from Acorn's Nutcase (GCHCEQ)- thanks SKWERL for the cache container! I chose the site for a view of Folsom lake to stop by for the view. If you look to the west you should see Acorn's Nutcase cache in the middle of the lake (). Access to the Folsom Lake Recreation Area is by taking Rattlesnake Bar road from Pilot Hill on Hwy 49.
