Travel north from Pickens SC on Hwy 178. There will be a gravel road on the left where parking is available at these coordinates (N35 02.948 W082 48.836) Please use the parking area. If you don't park here and just attempt bushwhacking, it will be a tough climb.
At the parking area, take a minute to read about the area. There is a lot here, if you enjoy the outdoors.
From the parking area, take the steps up to the right. This is the Foothills Trail. It is marked with white paint blazes. The cache will be about a 5-minute walk down the trail. This cache is a 2-quart clear container with a white lid. Be careful, there could be other hikers watching you!
This trail is a nice shady walk. In early spring, you may find Oconee Bells and other wild flowers along this trail.
