Geocache Description:

The given coordinates are NOT the location of the bonus cache!

The Hardin County Geo Trio (thanks for the nickname Nats77 and Likes2fish!) has put out their first team multi-cache! We modeled it after Chance Encounter's Kirby State Forest series of caches. On this cache hunt, you will have 3 micros then a final cache. That way you'll get to log four finds on this multi!

Decode these coordinates with the clues you have found to find the actual location of this ammo can.

N 30 24.ABC
W094 07.DEF

The coordinates given will lead you to the entrance of the road you need to take (Old Maid Road) to get to Goat Man Cemetery. Punch in the coordinates for Goat Man Cemetery #1 and find the way to the "dead" (literally!) end.

We've been out to this cemetery many times on scavenger hunts, four-wheeler riding, and Halloween hay rides. Located on a dead-end dirt road, just the trip out there at night is eerie enough. Then you actually arrive.

Although the name of this cemetery is actually Gore Cemetery, it is known by the locals as Goat Man Cemetery. While no one is sure where the Goat Man came from, many have heard his bleating deep in the woods on dark, moonless nights. If you stand silently in front of the cemetery, you may hear his hoofsteps as he strides along the forest floor. However, the Goat Man is most famous for guarding the entrance to the cemetery. Night or day, he assures that the gate to the cemetery is closed. If you leave the gate ajar and venture in, or leave it open in your panicked flight, he will silently sneak past and ensure the security of his sacred graveyard.

While this cache can easily be done during the day, night caches around graveyards are infinitely more exciting! Either way, we hope you enjoy our first attempt at mystery caches and multi-stages. Be careful and have fun!
