This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

This is a camouflaged small cache located at a Livermore Area Recreational Park.
William J. (Bill) Payne Sports Park is a 17 Acre Park off of Patterson Pass Road. The park is named for William J. (Bill) Payne who worked for LARPD for 28 years, 25 of these as general manager.
The park was built in 2002 I used to be able to watch Burrowing owls along the rail road property. Unfortunately I have not seen them for two years now. But there is always hope so keep your eyes open and your cameras ready!
The park contains two baseball fields, a soccer field and a BMX course. LARPD parks require that dogs are on a leash at all times.
Please be careful when hunting the cache during sports events, it may prove impossible during baseball games.

***Active railroad tracks run behind the park, these tracks are fenced off by 6 foot chain link fence. The cache is not on the railroad property.***

The original cache was mistaken as an suspicious device. (Yes it was a film canister, size spice container.) So replacement is a non-cylindrical item with better camouflage.
and clear geocahing markings if discovered.

Please take a minute or two to secure it back where it was found, so the next geocacher can enjoy the hunt.
