Broad Cove Disapointment Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Broad Cove Disapointment to find out about the status of this cache on April 13, 2007. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Quick basic cache on the Somerset/Dighton line

Pretty painless cache. It's a smallish cheapo tupperware type container with a logbook, pencils, the usual junk and maybe one or two prizes you may actually want. I'm sure it will be soaked after a couple good rains. The walk to hide the cache broght me through some trails typical for the Taunton river watershed, soggy and standing water after a moderate rain. There are a couple of nice views and a couple of good spots for fishing, though I doubt you'll catch anything, the water is pretty brackish and polluted. I thought I was plotting a short challenging hike through a tidal marsh. Imagine my disapointment when I did a goto on the cache waypoint when I got back to the car and saw that the prudent cacher will only have to hike 475 feet down a wide path straight to the cache that I missed on the way in (and the way out as a matter of fact). It wasn't my intention but this cache turned out to be just like most of my recent finds. A big disapointment, wet feet and a leaky tupperware full of McJunk and geotrash with a log book so wet the dull pencil won't write in it. At least you know what you're in for. Maybe you can follow my foot prints in the snow for a real challenge.
