Geocache Description:

A traditional cache in cave country amongst the Derbyshire limestone dales

The was meant to be placed with the assistance of our friend JF. After two abortive attempts we got fed up and went without him - sorry JF! It is in a small plastic box containing the usual mixture of small souvenirs. The location is in one of the many Deep Dales to be found in the area. In fact this isn't the Deep Dale we thought we were visiting when we set out!! The area is fantastic for wild flowers in the summer.

Whilst there are a number of caves in the vicinity you do not need to enter any to find the cache which is concealed in a slot with stones over it. Access is via any one of a number of public footpaths with the nearest road being south of King Sterndale.

You will need good walking boots as the terrain can be steep and is strewn with loose rock.
