Geocache Description:

This cache gives you an opportunity to learn some history of the area (explore nearby site), exchange some coins and share any knowledge you might have of interesting local historical sites.

Are you collecting state quarters? This cache contains a "coin box". The original contents of the money box includes 20 state quarters and coins from other countries. Consider bringing some coins of your own to exchange. Please don't take the coin box which is inside the larger cache container, an ammo box.

We would like to learn more of the history of the local area. If you know the coordinates of an interesting historical spot in the region, record it in the logbook.

There is a trivia question listed in the logbook. If you think you know the answer, please record it. Add a history or geography question of your own. There is a nearby museum where you might find answers to some of your questions. If you come on a Friday or Saturday between 10 am and 5:00 pm or a Sunday from 1 to 5 you should be able to get in to the nearby museum. (the hours may change in the future) You can get to the cache without paying an entry fee to the museum grounds.
Adults $ 4.00
Age 6-12 $ 2.00

This cache should be an easy find. No hiking required. Stick to the "trail" . . . if you want to call it a trail. Hopefully some interesting historical sites will be collected in the logbook giving us all opportunity for some new adventures and a real hike.
