Geocache Description:

Another cache for those who like the great outdoors and a bit of desert fun.

This cache is located out in the desert off the north shore road of Lake Mead. A beautiful area to play with your 4 wheel drive or do some hiking and exploring. When placing this cache we did not know what to call it. After contemplating for a few minutes we noticed the storm clouds bearing down on us. We needed to pick a name and get out of the wash fast. Now you know the rest of the story.

There are at least 3 dirt roads heading out to the cache area. Depending of the route taken you must drive at least 2 and one half miles on dirt roads to get to the cache. The general area can be accessed without 4 wheel drive in dry conditions. When it has been raining, 4 wheel drive is a must. If you want to drive as close as possible to the site, you will need high clearance to get within 2 tenths of a mile (when aproaching from the north end), and 4 wheel drive and a lot of guts to get closer.

Remember this is the desert. Let someone know where you are going and always bring lots of water. Always watch for desert critter. Detailed topo maps of this area is a big plus.
