Geocache Description:

Vacation Home of the Keebler Elves. Offset cache. Bushwhacking involved.

We went looking for the vacation home of the Keebler Elves. When we got there, we saw that there had been a fire there sometime in the past.

This made this a bad place to leave the elves' toys that were left behind. So...we went looking for somewhere the elves could find them. We found the Keebler's parking lot.

It's easy to find, just go inside the Keebler's vacation home when you get there, don't worry, you'll know it when you see it!

Turn around. You are now facing out the front door towards a cardinal point of the compass. Subtract 140 degrees from that direction. Now go about 135 feet in that direction.

There is a small container at their lot. Since we didn't know we would find it, we did not bring any transportaion for them, but if you have a spare Hot-Wheel or Matchbox car, they could use them. Parking is limited so make items small.

This is a photo opportunity - especially if you have elves of your own. It's real close to the Ice Age Trail, and is between our "Survival In A Can" & "Oak-K Either Way" caches. It's a REAL good place to take some pictures of the kids, or anyone else. Check out the gallery if you want an idea of what you're looking for, but don't let the kids look until AFTER, when you've uploaded your pictures too!

Update 10/14/08: After the logging, the Keebler garage was still there, but it was a lot shorter. We decided that we needed to be away from the logging.


Just a reminder: there is a bit of bushwhacking involved and the area has brush and raspberries. The kids may have a rough time of it. Plan ahead for it.
