aka The Bear Bidet. Traditional ammo box near the parking area - can be used as a mountain resort for weary travel bugs, located on the Monte Sano Landtrust. Free parking, room with bath and fresh mountain air and Charmin paper products.
Everyone’s familiar with the rhetorical question regarding the bathroom habits of our furry Ursine forest friends. Through the ages the accepted answer to the question has been “In the woods”. In the absence of any firm scientific proof, this answer has been a matter of pure speculation and conjecture until now. When you visit this “Eighth wonder of the world” you will see definitive proof, etched in the limestone rocks of North Alabama, proving once and for all that “In the woods” is the correct answer. You will stand in awe as you visualize Yogi “reading the newspaper” or little Boo Boo, feet dangling in mid air and his furry little drawers around his ankles, hollering “momma, come wipe my…” Well, you get the idea.
You have seen Rock City and Ruby Falls in Tennessee, Natural Bridge in Winston County, visited “Dittoville” in Madison County and take the legendary “Parking Garages of Huntsville” tour, but until you visit Yogi and Boo Boo’s Powder Room, your vacation will not be complete. Bring you camera, because this here is the real thing. Even though ammo boxes are pretty sturdy and water tight, for sanitary purposes and to avoid contamination (and so you don’t have to wait for Yogi to finish reading the paper) the cache is located about 10 or 12 feet from the “Facilities”.
