Geocache Description:

***11-18-2008 AFTER MONTHS OF 'CAN'T FIND' REPORTS, THIS CACHE HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A NEW AND IMPROVED (yet still cheap) CONTAINER WHICH HAS SEVERAL NICE ITEMS IN IT.***

This cache is located in an undeveloped part of a park.
Cross the green bridge if you are in the parking lot next to the pool.

This cache is at the location of an old aerial tram that used to cross the river. A father and son lived across the river from each other so they built a tram across the river for easy access to each others homes.

For many years the cables across the river remained and the tram car could be seen docked at the house across the river from the cache. Today the cables and tram car are gone but some traces remain.

The home on the cache side of the river was flooded many times (first by Camile in 1969) and eventually was abandoned. A few years ago only the foundation was left. On a recent search I could find no trace of it at all.
