Take the cable car from Lambton Quay or park at the following
coordinates:
S 41° 17.148
E 174° 46.029
Once you reach the coordinates you will need to decipher the
following coded coordinates to locate the actual cache using the
third plaque from the left:
S KG° MR.CAL
E DIA° RG.LEN
KG = Ammunition weight (standard) in kilograms -1
MR = Maximum Range in kilometres +500 metres
CAL = Calibre in millimetres -59 (with a zero in front of the
answer: 0??)
DIA = Wheel Diameter in centimetres +34
RG = Rifling Grooves +10
LEN = Overall Length in decimetres - 1400mm (with a zero in front
of the answer: 0??)
This is quite a popular location for sightseers, and the cache
area is on one of the paths nearby so a cautious geocacher won't
have a problem!
The cache is a 1 litre round plastic container painted camo
green and brown.
It initially contained a Shrek logbook and pencil as well as:
1x strawberry eraser
1x pink mini yoyo
1x black New Zealand balloon
1x orange sun keyring
