This is the first of our Fallin' For Virginia series. We will attempt to bring you to some of the most beautiful but relatively unknown waterfalls of Southwest Virginia.
Logan Creek is a lovely stream that originates up on Walker Mountain and slowly builds until it joins the North Fork of the Holston River. Before it empties into the river, there is a wonderful waterfall that is more than 25 feet in elevation. We could not find any online reference to the Logan Creek Falls so if you know about this please note it to your log.

From the parking area, you are you are less than .10 mile from the cache. There is a gentle downhill trail in the wooded area on the right side of the road. Just follow the trail. CAUTION: you do not have to go to the edge of the rocks over-looking the Falls. The cache is not placed at the edge of the falls so there is no need to do serious and/or dangerous rock climbing. This cache is semi-kid friendly but someone needs to keep them on the trail.
You are looking for a camo-taped 4X3X2 loc-n-loc. Use stealth and please place the cache back as you found it. This is a well used area and it is fairly clean but a little CITO wouldn't hurt. Good luck.
NOTE: On Sept.5, 2008 we replaced and slightly moved the cache. Please note the new coordinates and new hints. The new coordinates should be very close with 500 readings at a accuracy of 9 feet.
