Geocache Description:

Standard Cache in THE CITY but not in any town

This area was once known as “The City.” It is hard to believe now that this was once a productive area, autonomous in the production of brick and tiles. A group of houses once occupied part of this site, but now only two remain.

For a cache and cream-tea, nearby Grim's Dyke is now the home of a country house hotel and posh tea room.

For a cache and pint however, a commended country pub "The Case is Altered" is adjacent to the parking and viewpoint. It has a garden with kid's playgrounds and serves decent beers.

The cache is a 2litre plastic tub in black bag.

Recommended parking for this and the other three Grim's caches is located at 51°37.228'N, 0°20.968'W. From here on a clear day one can see the City of London.
