Geocache Description:

The co-ordinates N 51º 40.201 W 0º 03.958 are for the nearest car park. This cache requires you to collect numbers from 3 locations around the historic Forty Hall before finding the final cache, a small green metal box, about 0.3 miles from the final part of the puzzle. The final part of the puzzle is only accessible in daylight hours.

You will need to enter the final co-ordinates into your GPS manually to find the final cache.

Cache Disabled

The council are doing restoration work and have fenced off the area around the first clue to protect the great crested newts. (I've never seen one there in 40 years!) Will have to find a replacement clue for the puzzle. The final cache is now a few metres from the original location. Local youths have discovered the original box. The container is now a small metal box.

There is currently major renovation work going on at Forty Hall, but all clues are still accessible.

This history of Forty Hall is explained at this cache.
Without giving too much away I hope, the old course of the New River runs through the area. This was an artificial river that brought drinking water to London. Over time the introduction of pumps and aqueducts allowed the river to take a straighter course and various sections fell into disuse.

The final location of the cache can be found at.
