Years ago, Sackville street in Shediac continued into the woods for
a few miles and came to the Pellerin Farm. Many old paths and
tracks in the area lead us to believe that the road might have
ended up in Sackville.
Today Sackville street is confined to the town limits and ends
at the four lane highway (Highway 15). On the other side of the
highway, the rest of the street is a dirt road called Ch des
Pellerins Rd. It can be accessed from Lino Road, the dirt road
which parallels Highway 15 between the two Shediac exits. You can
get to Lino road at the Parlee Beach Exit.
Twenty years ago we would go down the road for a few kms and
come to the Pellerin farmhouse sitting in an abandoned field near a
picturesque brook. Across the\ brook there was a camp called Brook
View. It was a nice spot. Today, the farmhouse is gone and a number
of camps have been built in the area. Brook View is still there and
it is still a nice spot.
WARNING: The road can be pretty messy in Spring time. In summer,
vegetation can hide the best entrance into the woods, so look
around.

We hid the small tobacco container cache in this area and named it
after the original camp. Locals drive this road year round but it
may be difficult to do in the spring. Of course you could do like
us, and hike it. Cache contains a few trading items , a log book, a
pencil and a sharpener.
