Geocache Description:


Goldenrod Park - located at 4863 N Goldenrod in Orlando. This nice little urban park is run by Orange County Parks & Recreation.

When I first ran across this quaint little park, I thought - wow - what a neat location for a cache. But, since Orange County Parks & Recreation doesn't allow geocaches in their parks for some obscure reason, I decided to create a cache that would bring people to the park. The only way I could do that was to create a nice little offset cache. No problem - this one should be simple. You can park at the park, and easily walk to the cache once you calculate the final coordinates using elementary math.

To locate the cache, go to the coordinates listed on the page, and make note of the numbers on the sign.

For the North coordinate, add all the numbers found on the sign, and multiply that by 3. Add the result to the posted north coordinate.

For the West coordinate, add all the numbers found on the sign, multiply by 6, and add 2. Add this result to the posted west coordinate.
