Rock's House Traditional Cache
rock&crystal: Sorry to say the rock house has been destroyed, along with most of Paradise in the "Camp Fire". The cache owners are now displaced, their house burned to the ground. The owners will need to focus on rebuilding, with the hope that someone might want to place a new cache nearby, someday.

Rock's great, great, great grandaddy homesteaded these parts back in the late 1700s. He loved rocks, so he built a rock house, planted a rock garden, built rock walls, and even planted grapes in the fertile soil between the rocks and made wine. Since he lived so close to Paradise he called it Edenrock! His favorite pasttime besides building with rocks and growing them, was to roll them as far down into the canyons as possible, and the crashing and banging could be heard for miles ... he became known as the father of rock and roll... and even put together a rock band! After a rocky life of adventure and true grit, he succombed on his porch at the ripe old age of 99 in the chair where he loved to rock. As yet there is no commerative plaque to denote this amazing man and his history, but we are sure it's just a matter of time, before some one puts one on a rock. The house still stands and is now a restuarant some say the food rocks, and the drinks are all served "on the....." (nevermind)!
