This 2 stage multi was originally placed by TWA42. When the first waypoint was recently muggled, the cache was archived. With TWA42's blessing, the Nako Taco Patrol recently replaced WP1 and will continue to maintain this sizeable, easily accessible cache along the Palos Verdes Peninsula coastline.
As the name implies, this cache located in the Palos Verdes Estates area practically ensures that muggles at the cache site should never be a problem! There is little or no bushwhacking required either. The hide is a large camouflaged Tupperware container (10"x8"x4") that will hold most any trades including a good many Travel Bugs. The area contains a storm drain channel but also a very nice view of the Santa Monica Bay. However, the best thing is that you'll be searching for the hide in perfect solitude and will not have to look over your shoulder for anyone coming by.
We recommend that you park on Palos Verdes Drive West. The posted coordinates will take you to Waypoint 1 which is located on the wide, landscaped median of that street. From WP1, the walk to the final cache is only 500 feet. The short trail to the cache site is easy to negotiate and is best accessed from Palos Verdes Drive West rather than off Via Boronada which borders it. Mother Nature has brought out the 'stickers'again so boots might be a good idea.
Please be careful when crossing the street, and watch out for the joggers and dog walkers using the median too. Happy Hunting!
Update 11/4/09: It's best to approach the cache from the lower side. Minor bushwhacking might be necessary for the last 5' - look for the wall then reach around the left end.
