Geocache Description:

This is a three part cache that will take you on a pleasant walk through the National Trust grounds alongside the river Hamble. Parking can be found at the co-ords above and there are also other places to park close to hand.

Having had the cache trashed we have replaced the std ammo case with a small waterproof box for now. PLEASE hide it as you find it and we will monitor it over the coming weeks before replacing with another ammo case.

The walk takes you along a path that can become muddy and slippery during anything other than summer (dry) months so we recommend wellies as the minimum but stout walking boots would be better. There are a number of places to stop and observe the wildlife. There is plenty to see so don’t forget the binoculars. The walk is just under a mile in each direction.

There is no requirement to stray from the path on this cache. This cache is NOT wheelchair / pushchair friendly !!

The cache itself is a standard ammo case with a number of small bits and bobs in it as well as a logbook and cache-cam. Please email us if you think you have taken the last shot and please don’t take a photo of the cache location !!

Why THINK PINK ??; Simply because Ma Lofty and Little Lofty are going through a girlie pink thing and would like anyone who visits the cache to take their photo wearing or holding something pink …. (we wait with bated breath !!)

Under the little yellow box is a door. How many handles on the door ? ( B )

Did you hear the moaning tree?

Having found the cache the more adventurous may wish to exit the wood using the upper path which is shorter but more challenging !!
