Merrycacher: This was the original When Was It Dixie cache in the series! The old building has now been torn down and the cache is gone. Thanks for hunting it and for continuing the tradition with other "When Was It Dixie" caches!

This building used to be the first Winn-Dixie store in Walkertown,
N. C. The Dollar General Store used to be the Crown Drug Store.
This area has definitely gone down over the years with the newer
shopping centers nearby.
Please bring a pen! There is a small pencil in the cache but it
won't last forever. This cache is NOT in a scenic location. There
is graffiti on the wall near the cache location. If that bothers
you, this cache may NOT be for you.
This cache is ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS... NOT THE EXPERIENCE!!
Please beware of muggles and be discreet when replacing the
cache.
