Located just off the nature trail at the State University of West Georgia, this cache is stopping off point for Travel Bugs and other trinkets.
The nature trail is a little known and used area of the university. It is a network of approximately 2 miles of trails that run through a pine scrub forest on the NW corner of the campus. The trails can be accessed from a number of areas around campus and a map of the trails can be found on a sign just above the running track behind the dining hall Z6.
The closest parking can be found at coordinates N 33 34.510 W 085 06.334. This is a commuter lot where you can park without a problem after 5pm or on the weekends. During the week, stop at the nearby Public Safety Office for a free parking pass.
Approach the trail on the power line road. You will enter the trail on the right about 100-150 feet up the road. The trail is not marked with a sign so keep your eyes open. It is a quick 2-3 minute walk to the cache.
Several travel bugs are starting out their journeys from this cache. Come visit and help them along.
The cache is a plastic jug about the size of a gallon pickle jar.
