Geocache Description:

The Cranbourne Meteorites

A nice quick cache with a bit of natural history attached. Ideal for those on their way back from Philip Island or Wilsons Prometory caching expeditions.

The Cranbourne Meteorites cache is located at a monument (for want of a better word) to the meteorites that have been found around the Cranbourne area over the past 150 years.

Information boards at the site provide information about the Meteors and show samples of the ones found over the years.

Jan 2008: Cache has been relocated slightly, and is much easier to find now.
