Pies are not Square Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

R&KB: Trekked through the mud that is still there. The area was under 12 to 15 feet of water judging by the stains on the tree trunks. The cache has apparently floated away.
Two reasons not to replace: 1, Historically the cache has had limited activity and 2, there are plans to increase the level of the reservoir in the next year or two which will flood the cache permanently.

Geocache Description:

REVISED March 12, 2007.
A multi-cache located in Chatfield State Park. An entrance fee is required. This is NOT a park and grab.

The second waypoint has been eliminated and the difficulty rating reduced since only a few people completed this and that waypoint required wading during most of last year. DO NOT USE LISTINGS PRINTED PRIOR TO 3/12/2007, THE NUMBERS HAVE CHANGED. This is still a multi-cache for mathematicians. It is intended to be challenging. You will need at a minimum, paper and pencil, a simple calculator would help but isn’t absolutely necessary.

The above coordinates are a parking area.

Waypoint #1: N39 32.283 W105 02.557 Look for a 7 digit serial number.

To find the cache:
Latitude: add the serial number to 4808273. Convert the sum to Base eleven (11). The result is the North Latitude AABBCCC where A is degrees, B is minutes and C is decimal minutes.

Longitude: add the serial number to 3077510. Convert this sum to Base nine (9). The result is the West Longitude AAABBCCC as above.

The final cache is an ammo box and requires some bushwhacking depending on the time of year. Long pants and shoes or boots are suggested for late summer and fall. Initial contents were all mathematics/geometry oriented including a TI scientific calculator.
