Welcome to the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary.

The real cache is the collection of more than 250 species of birds that use this marsh as a home or temporary resting spot during migration.

This is the third geocache that has been hidden in this marsh. The most recent, Buffleheads! (GCB00D), disappeared not long ago. Since Team Sagefox is no longer in the area and this really is a local gem, I've placed another herein to keep people coming. If you've found Buffleheads! before, know that this cache is not located in the same place.

The cache is hidden close to the main trail in a small grove of knobcone pines. You do not need to do any thrashing to find the cache; the cache is at ground level under some branches and pine cones.

Cache is a small ammo box with a pretty unique camo job.
