All Geocachers like a good creek crossing every now and then so
here you go. Less than 500 feet from the parking area is a camoed
plastic Folgers coffee can. The problem is that Beck Branch is in
between. It's not that bad, normally it's only about 6" deep with
rocks to walk across instead of mud. There's an easy descent to the
creek within 100 feet of the cache. The cache location is guarded
with a few briars and thorns and as always, watch out for P.I. The
only other thing to watch for is not to step in the doggie mine
fields just off the walkway!
Parking is available at the Clear Lake Pool area. N32.59.932

As always, we leave you the lyrics to "Up on Cripple Creek" by
The Band.
When I get off of this mountain, you know where I want to
go?
Straight down the Mississippi river, to the Gulf of Mexico
To Lake Charles, Louisiana, little Bessie, girl that I once
knew
She told me just to come on by, if there's anything she could
do
Up on Cripple Creek she sends me
If I spring a leak she mends me
I don't have to speak, she defends me
A drunkard's dream if I ever did see one
